High Wicking, Fire Retardant Underwear August 2009 Flamepro is the European distributor for DRIFIRE® patented fire retardant underwear. DRIFIRE® fabric has extremely good wicking characteristics designed to keep the body comfortable and dry.
DRIFIRE® fabrics have been chosen by UK Fire & Rescue High Volume Pumping teams to provide fire retardant underwear for wearing with their waterproof, breathable HVP suits. The underwear provides a very good, comfortable thermal barrier which helps to protect HVP teams working in inclement weather. The high wicking properties of the underwear enables the wearer to undergo hard physical effort in a far higher degree of comfort than that provided by normal cotton or fire retardant fabrics.
