Protective Gloves

In March 13, 2019

Gloves: For firefighting they need to be tough, comfortable, flame resistant and heat resistant in addition to being water, pathogen and contaminant proof. We have been receiving more and more feedback about the pressures being put on brigades to have top quality and washable protective gloves. Gloves can get filled with just as many contaminants as the tunic or salopettes.

We sell Holik gloves, each Holik fabric model has been tested to 25-30 washes, they’re washable at 40 degrees, they can be tracked from manufacture with RFID and barcoding and importantly; they’re cost effective.

Our favourite model is the Holik Niket 8061. Made with a Kevlar/Meta-Aramid(50/50) knitted fabric with a silicone coating on the palm and a Nomex combined back with ceramic coating, these gloves are built to last. The back of this glove contains hidden protection allowing the gloves to withstand radiant heat to 58.5s and provide shock protection. Manufactured with a Porelle FR membrane ensuring protection from pathogens. View our wider range of gloves here.

Treating gloves as a washable, long-term part of the firekit saves money and ensures ongoing quality control. We’re proud to provide high quality, reusable gloves which provide such good protection for firefighters globally.
